The I-595 factor
Everything leaving Port Everglades rolls up I-595 or US-1, and heavy truck lanes are where windshields get hit. Fort Lauderdale commuters share every mile of that corridor, plus I-95's Broward stretch and the merge patterns around Davie Boulevard and Broward Boulevard where following distance disappears. The result is a steady diet of fresh chips — the kind that repair almost invisibly in week one and become replacements by month two of Florida sun.
Salt is the second customer
Cars east of Federal Highway live in salt air, and it works on the metal around the glass, not the glass itself. On older coastal cars we regularly find corrosion at the pinch weld when the old windshield comes out — which is why our process treats and primes the aperture rather than gluing over rust that will lift the seal later. It is slower than the quick-set version. It is also why the warranty can honestly say lifetime.

Marina-district customers ask: vehicle glass only. What we do happily do is meet your car at the marina lot, the office on Las Olas, or the airport park-and-ride — anywhere it sits still for a couple of hours legally is a work site.

What Florida drivers actually pay for auto glass
Florida's glass rules are unusual, and half of what customers have heard about them is out of date. Here is the current version, statutes named.
The windshield deductible rule is real — and specific
Florida Statute 627.7288 says that if you carry comprehensive coverage on a private passenger vehicle, your insurer cannot apply a deductible to windshield repair or replacement. That is the insurer's obligation, not a shop discount. It covers the windshield only — not door, vent, quarter or back glass — and it does not apply if you carry liability-only cover.
Door and back glass work differently
Every other piece of glass on the vehicle falls under your normal comprehensive deductible. If the deductible is higher than the cost of the work, paying cash is simply cheaper — we will tell you which side of that line your job lands on before anything is booked.
The gift-card pitch is now illegal here
Florida's 2023 auto glass law (SB 1002) prohibits offering gift cards, cash or any incentive in exchange for a windshield insurance claim, and ended assignment-of-benefits for glass work. A shop still making that offer is telling you something about how it operates. We do not, and never did.
No comprehensive cover? That is common
Plenty of South Florida drivers carry liability only. You get the same visit, the same glass options quoted for your exact VIN, and a written figure before we book — nothing is priced on this site because no honest number exists before we know the vehicle and the glass.

Frequently asked
Yes — office-lot jobs are half of what we do in Fort Lauderdale. Surface lots are simplest; garages need ceiling clearance for the van and the building's okay, which the form notes handle. You stay at your desk; the car gets fixed.
